  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present information clearly and concisely through memos, reports, briefings, and other deliverables.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and capacity for self-directed work. The candidate should be capable of handling multiple time-sensitive projects at once and independently produce client-ready, polished outputs.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel for data analysis and visualization. Proficiency in R or Python for data analysis.
  • Near native-level English writing and speaking skills.
  • Work authorization in the United States required.
The following qualifications are a strong plus:
  • Reading proficiency in Chinese (to include ability to quickly read, summarize, and extract key findings and nuance from Chinese-language newspaper articles and policy documents).
  • Professional experience doing research on China to support decision-makers in government, business, or think tanks.
  • Knowledge of the Chinese chemicals sector, including data sources and market structure.
