Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Homemaker to join our hospice care team. The Homemaker provides supportive services to patients and families, focusing on maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment. This role does not provide hands-on medical care but is essential to improving patients’ quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide light housekeeping services (laundry, vacuuming, dusting, dishwashing, etc.)


• Prepare and serve simple meals and snacks as directed by the patient/family


• Assist with grocery shopping or errands as needed (if permitted)


• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and comfortable home environment for patients


• Report any changes in the patient’s condition or environment to the hospice team


• Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and families


• Follow care plans and instructions from the hospice team


• Respect patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred


• Prior experience in homemaking, caregiving, or housekeeping strongly preferred


• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered attitude


• Ability to work independently and follow directions


• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patients’ homes


• Must pass background check and health screenings as required
