Role Overview
At Chick-fil-A DFW Airport, the Shift Supervisor role is a leadership position responsible for overseeing both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and team development. In this fast-paced airport environment, Shift Supervisors lead by example, support Team Members in real time, and ensure every shift reflects Chick-fil-A’s commitment to excellence, speed, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality.
Shift Supervisors apply the Fundamentals of Execution and the “Winning Hearts Every Day” strategy to drive consistency in food quality, service speed, and guest satisfaction while maintaining a positive and supportive team culture.

Leadership Expectations (Winning Hearts Every Day Strategy)
Great Food
- Ensure all food meets Chick-fil-A quality and safety standards
- Monitor BOH execution across all kitchen stations (Prep, Boards, Breader, Machines, Fry, Utilities)
- Complete required food safety checks and walkthroughs each shift
- Reinforce proper procedures for food handling, preparation, and storage
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and trust through high-quality product execution
Clean & Safe Environment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in both FOH and BOH areas
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Monitor Team Member adherence to health and safety policies
- Utilize LEAN processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Maintain awareness of emergency and crisis response procedures
Fast & Accurate Service
- Drive Speed of Service goals while maintaining accuracy in both kitchen and front counter operations
- Monitor order flow, ticket times, and kitchen throughput during peak periods
- Ensure accurate order taking, preparation, and delivery to guests
- Adjust staffing and station coverage to meet demand efficiently
- Support seamless communication between FOH and BOH teams
Genuine Hospitality
- Model Chick-fil-A’s Core 4 hospitality standards
- Ensure every guest interaction reflects care, respect, and attentiveness
- Coach Team Members on delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Maintain a positive, welcoming, and energetic environment across the restaurant
- Ensure both guests and Team Members feel valued and supported
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and run shifts across both FOH and BOH operations
- Lead, coach, and support Team Members in real time during service
- Ensure execution of all kitchen and front-of-house station responsibilities
- Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and guest service standards throughout the shift
- Support training and development of new and existing Team Members
- Manage workflow across all stations to ensure smooth operations during peak travel periods
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and urgency
- Ensure proper inventory management, stocking, and product rotation
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, food safety standards, and airport regulations
- Assist with opening, closing, and shift transition procedures
- Communicate effectively with General Manager and leadership team
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous leadership experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Strong ability to lead both FOH and BOH teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume airport environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to coach, motivate, and hold Team Members accountable
- Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
