Summary of Position
The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) provides executive leadership and strategic oversight of Snowline’s Hospice, Palliative, and Primary Care clinical operations and Education Department. This role supervises senior clinical and education leaders, maintains quality standards, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports cost-effective, compassionate care delivery. Working closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive team, the CCO helps shape strategic direction, support sustainable growth, and drive organizational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality & Compliance
- Serve as Compliance Officer for clinical areas and support an effective Compliance Program.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Quality Committee to meet regulatory/accreditation standards.
- Lead the development of clinical policies, patient safety systems, and quality measures.
- Monitor CAHPS, HQRP, and PEPPER reports to drive continuous improvement.
- Respond to patient/family feedback and resolve concerns with clinical leadership.
2. Service Delivery
- Lead clinical teams in delivering excellent, patient-centered care.
- Optimize staffing ratios and resource allocation to support operational goals.
- Collaborate with clinical directors to enhance documentation, tracking, and reporting.
- Ensure resolution and prevention of service complaints or breakdowns.
3. Financial Management
- Partner with CEO/CFO to manage clinical budgets and improve financial performance.
- Oversee cost-effective staffing, clinical productivity, and vendor relationships.
- Evaluate new service lines for sustainability and impact.
- Review/authorize clinical service invoices and billing adjustments.
4. Strategic Growth
- Support Snowline’s strategic planning and innovation initiatives.
- Build and sustain relationships with referral sources, payers, and healthcare partners.
- Lead or contribute to growth initiatives such as service expansion or partnerships.
- Represent Snowline at community events and professional forums.
5. Personnel & Leadership Development
- Provide executive leadership to all clinical and education leaders.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
- Champion staff development, education programs, and leadership pipelines.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and compassionate care.
- Manage corrective actions and employee relations issues as needed.
6. Additional Duties
- Chair and/or participate in Quality and QAPI Committees.
- Attend Board of Directors meetings as requested.
- Stay informed on hospice and healthcare trends through continuing education.
- Partner with the Medical Director and NPs to improve care coordination and outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.
