About the Role
The Company, a well-known culinary brand and media organization, is in search of a Chief Content Officer to lead its multi-platform content creation teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large staff of creative professionals, including editors, producers, recipe developers, writers, and art directors. This C-suite role is pivotal in shaping the future of the company and involves partnering with other C-suite leaders to create a vision and set long-range business priorities. The Chief Content Officer will also be tasked with translating business objectives into a comprehensive content strategy aimed at maximizing revenue and raising brand awareness, deploying creative resources to develop top-tier content, and overseeing content budgeting. Additionally, the role includes serving as a spokesperson for the brand and managing content development across various media platforms to attract and retain digital and print subscribers.The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong background in content creation and leadership, with experience in managing teams across different business segments. They will be expected to mentor senior creative team leaders and ensure the development of the next generation of talent. The Chief Content Officer will also be involved in setting strategies for recipe development, product reviews, and content across digital, print, and video platforms. The position requires a strategic thinker who can work closely with sales and business partners to maximize sponsorship and custom video revenue, as well as drive digital traffic and subscriptions. A hands-on approach to creating video content and a deep understanding of the culinary media landscape are essential. The role demands a dynamic individual who can effectively manage a diverse range of content and is passionate about the mission to empower and inspire confidence, community, and creativity in the kitchen.
