Job Description:

The Columbus Airport Marriott is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chief Engineer to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of our facility while maintaining a positive experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will be proactive in conducting safety audits, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure the safety and security of the building and its occupants.

- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with local health and state inspections.

- Limit downtime on equipment through effective assessment and timely repairs.

- Manage relationships with vendors to ensure quality service and support.

- Complete Preventive Maintenance programs to uphold facility standards.

- Handle payroll and other administrative tasks efficiently.

- Assist guests to ensure they have a positive and enjoyable stay.

- Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure rooms are prepared and ready for guests.

- Assist in the maintenance and management of the shuttle van fleet.

- Complete or facilitate the completion of repairs throughout the building

- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the facility.

- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience in maintenance and repair work.

- Proficient in administrative tasks, including payroll management.

- Ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

- Customer service-oriented mindset.

At least 2 Years of Facility Management Experience

Hotel Engineering Experience Preferred

Familiarity with Transcendent by Actabl is a plus
