Now, we’re scaling fast — and looking for a world-class Chief Financial Officer to help us lead the next chapter.

The Role

We’re looking for a CFO who thinks like a founder: deeply strategic, resourceful, and excited to scale a business that sits at the intersection of finance and healthcare.

You’ll be at the heart of how Gaia grows — shaping how we finance, price, protect and deliver life-changing outcomes at scale.

You’ll own the company’s capital strategy, build high-performing teams across strategic finance, FP&A, credit, and accounting, and help us navigate the complexity of growth across multiple markets, partners, and products. You’ll partner with the CEO and Board to drive long-term strategy, and represent Gaia externally with investors, debt providers, and regulators.

We want someone who’s excited to build something complex and meaningful — from the financial system architecture to the day-to-day rhythms that make a great company.

Core Areas of Responsibility

1. Financial Product & Capital Strategy

• Architect and evolve Gaia’s financial products, balancing access, economics and risk

• Lead pricing strategy and unit economics as we launch new markets and models

• Rethink and optimise our capital stack across equity, credit, and reinsurance

2. Strategic Finance and FP&A

• Own company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking

• Scale FP&A as a strategic partner to every team

• Champion financial clarity across the business to support better, faster decisions

3. Investor Relations & Fundraising

• Own Gaia’s capital strategy and fundraising roadmap

• Lead future debt and equity raises end-to-end — from narrative to term sheet

• Cultivate strong relationships with our current and future capital partners

• Lead any M&A opportunities

4. Finance Operations, Accounting, Tax

• Build and lead a best-in-class finance team across the UK and US

• Oversee financial reporting, accounting, compliance, payroll, and multi-currency treasury

• Ensure controls and systems scale with the business

5. Risk, Credit & Insurance

• Oversee Gaia’s underwriting and loan portfolio strategy

• Own relationships with insurers and reinsurance partners

• Balance risk, access, and capital efficiency across all our financial products

What We’re Looking For

Not just a finance leader but a business builder. You bring experience, energy, and clarity to complexity. You’ve operated in messy, regulated environments, and helped scale financial systems that are innovative and robust.

You Have:

• Senior finance experience in a fast-growing, complex, regulated business (e.g. healthtech, fintech, insurtech)

• A track record of managing high-stakes capital — from credit facilities to insurance partnerships

• Deep FP&A and strategic finance expertise, with a sharp eye for metrics and performance

• Proven experience raising capital across equity and debt markets

• Built and led high-performing teams across finance disciplines

• A reputation for challenging thinking, setting high standards, and getting results
