Emerge, a global talent solutions company, is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a Chief Financial Officer for our client, a manufacturer of quality products, located in NW Pennsylvania. This is a executive level position reporting directly to the CEO and managing the company's financial, legal, and compliance aspects. The CFO must analyze, strategize, and grow the company's financial position, understanding current accounting practices and trends, insurance, investments, and legal issues. Candidates should be accustomed to working with insurance, banking and lenders, government entities, raising capital and adapting to change. The CFO will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires clear and effective communication skills across the organization that will allow them to collaborate cross functionally.

Relocation is available to this very affordable area in Pennsylvania, with close proximity to lakes and water sports, nature, hunting and trails, a variety of sports and entertainment, higher education and near major cities: Cleveland, OH, Pittsburgh, PA and Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities for the Chief Financial Officer job in Northwestern Pennsylvania include:

  • The CFO is ultimately responsible for the solid financial position of the company. Provide strategic direction of financial operations, manage the accounting and finance departments, and ensure the company's financial reports are timely and accurate.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement efforts and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflow.
  • The formulation of standard policies for the Accounting Department, and all other departments when it comes to financial control.
  • Oversight of investment of company funds, capital structure and optimal financing options for the company. Responsible for the prudent handling of all company financial assets, including stocks, bonds, money market accounts, and other valuable commodities.
  • Manage and oversee yearly budget.
  • Income tax reporting, record keeping, tax assessments, etc.
  • Manage cash flow and forecasts.
  • Maintains relationships with banks and other lending institutions.
  • Oversight and acquisition of all property and casualty insurance, setting limits and coverage.
  • To be the agent of the corporation for legal process and be signatory for the corporations for all documents requiring Board certification or authorization.
  • Collaborate with Leadership on long-range planning or financial strategy reports.
  • Annual and Periodic Financial Reporting, Legal Notification oversight, Obligations Management, Regulatory Compliance, Insurance Coverage, and maintain Intellectual Property Protection

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management and law, or related field
  • MBA or CPA
  • Ten (10) or more years' experience in a prior leadership and management position within finance, accounting, or treasury in business, manufacturing, or accounting office.
  • High level of proficiency and experience with ERP software Oracle/NetSuite, Excel, Microsoft Business Intelligence software.
  • Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
  • Working knowledge of how to raise capital outside traditional lines of credit.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to quickly grasp issues impacting the site's financial results.
  • Strong IT aptitude is needed to deliver effective desktop reporting, utilize business tools, and provide effective presentation of information.
