This position serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Department of Healthcare & Family Services (HFS) overseeing the systems necessary to support the Medicaid program and the more than 3 million residents it serves. This position will be responsible for leading HFS’ systems through the changes required to modernize, unify data, and build resilient, interoperable infrastructure that has the flexibility to adapt as policy and programmatic needs evolve. The CIO should have in-depth knowledge of the current and up-and-coming trends in the IT field and be highly proficient in the discipline of software development, project management, and team development. The successful candidate must be highly analytical, professional, communicate effectively, and possess excellent organizational skills. The selected candidate will apply data strategies, improve delivery, and continue to align with enterprise direction to ensure compliance across all systems and applications within the HFS CIO’s purview. Experience managing customer relationships, collaborating with architects, team leads, designers, product managers, quality control and executive team members is highly preferred.
