About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the organization's cybersecurity initiatives and ensure the protection of its information assets. The CISO will be responsible for all activities related to the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of customer, partner, and employee information in compliance with the company's security policies. This role involves working closely with executive management to define risk tolerance and establish a comprehensive cybersecurity governance and management program. The CISO will also be tasked with leading a cybersecurity committee, overseeing multiple cyber projects, and proactively communicating the cybersecurity vision and strategy to the leadership team.Candidates for the CISO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree in cybersecurity being highly preferable. A minimum of 10 years' of experience in cybersecurity and technology risk, including at least 5 years' in senior management, is required. The ideal candidate will have a professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, and experience with public sector cybersecurity, contracting, and regulations. The role demands a leader with extensive knowledge of industry security standards and frameworks, the ability to manage complex cybersecurity incidents, and a proven track record of building and leading effective cybersecurity teams. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to work with various business units to align cybersecurity strategies with the company's objectives.
