In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and implementing a comprehensive security strategy for a cutting-edge healthcare provider. Your leadership will not only protect sensitive data but also optimize operational efficiency across various departments. Collaborating closely with engineering, product, and operations teams, you'll address security as a fundamental aspect of the product development lifecycle, ensuring it adheres to the highest standards of compliance. Accountabilities
- Define and drive the information security roadmap, strategy, tactics, and execution.
- Architect programs to enhance information security policies and ensure the security perimeter.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to treat security concerns as a primary requirement.
- Respond effectively to security-related incidents and provide reports to stakeholders.
- Participate in security audits requested by partners.
- Review and update company-wide security policies to align with industry best practices.
- Coordinate security efforts with Privacy, Engineering, Ops, HR, and Product teams.
- Stay updated with IT/Security industry trends and evaluate new solutions.
- Launch company-wide security initiatives and training programs.
- Support customer acquisition and retention through partnerships with commercial and customer success teams.
Requirements
- ~10 years of experience leading security teams in cybersecurity.
- Experience with vendor management and compliance audits (SOC 2, HITRUST, etc.).
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey security concepts effectively.
- Knowledge of IT risk management standards, including ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.
- Expertise in healthcare financial management and budgeting.
- Self-motivated with a drive to exceed expectations.
