• Nira is a software platform that helps renewable energy developers find the cheapest points on the grid to connect.


• We focus on estimating the cost to interconnect with the electrical grid (aka the Interconnection Process). Depending on where developers connect, they may be on the hook to pay millions of dollars to upgrade power lines, substations etc.

What you’ll do

As Chief of Staff at Nira, you will serve as an extension of the C-suite working on special projects. You will be responsible for operational and strategic projects that:

1. Are high value, but founders do not have time for.


2. Don’t clearly fall into any existing team’s responsibility.


3. Too important and strategic for us to give to our executive assistant.

Your work will help Nira accelerate renewables getting built on the grid. On top of that, if you want to be a founder one day, this would be a great learning experience.

Examples projects include:

• Running point on our board meetings with investors.


• Hiring our finance function.


• Ironically, hiring a Chief of Staff is a great example of a task we’d want our Chief of Staff to do.


• Working with our EA to plan offsites.


• Proofreading all-hand announcements


• Revamping our retention tracking system for our commercial team.

About You

• 0-3 years out of school.


• Hungry and ambitious. Potentially wants to be a founder one day.


• Interested in seeing first-hand what running a startup is like.


• Mission-oriented and focused on working on climate.


• Take ownership and thrive in ambiguity


• Able to do data analysis for tasks like creating the investor board deck.


• Mission-oriented and focused on working on climate.


• Excited to work with Transmission Engineers and learn about how our electrical grid works.


• Previous work experience in a niche domain is a plus.


• Technical degree is a plus.


• Capable of rolling with the punches. Plans change when working at a rapidly growing startup
