We are seeking a talented Chief of Staff to enable our leadership team to deliver top results. This includes ensuring the smooth functioning and preparation of regular, cross-functional meetings; driving long term strategic planning; and directly supporting the Chief Executive and President. The right individual for this role will be a strong strategic thinker with the innate ability to be proactive, adaptable, flexible, and collaborative. You will have a strong ability to create structure and visibility across both executive and other workstreams and will be driven to help our team function at its best. You should be empathetic and with a high EQ, capable of aiding internal and external stakeholders in resolving complex topics. Lastly, you should be comfortable navigating confidential and sensitive topics with thoughtful discretion. This role directly reports to both the CEO and President.
Mission
- Directly contribute to the development of the overall company strategy, as well as the dissemination of that strategy throughout the organization.
- Ensure a tight process for the drafting and review of quarterly and annual OKRs and facilitate the review of such in a way that will surface key focus areas, projects of cross functional overlap (and the requisite resources from each areas) and deliberate consideration of 'what's missing'.
- Assist the CEO and President in the management of direct reports and key initiatives, ensuring timely follow-up on action items, continuity and focus of periodic check-ins.
- At the direction of the CEO and President, manage or execute on 'special projects' or strategic initiatives across the company, often in partnership with relevant department leaders.
About you
- 5+ years in a senior operating role at a fast-paced technology company, venture-backed startup, management consultancy, or comparable high-intensity organization.
- Adept at creating and maintaining operational excellence through strategy development and process excellence to improve team performance.
- Roll-up-the-sleeves approach with strong executive presence and analytical rigor.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to handle multiple deadlines, projects, and stakeholders.
- Can define how a project may benefit the company’s efficiency and strategic plan and help execute it.
- Highly proactive, self-directed, and self-motivated.
- High emotional intelligence and comfort in engaging with team members and business leaders.
- Skilled in relationship building with a high sense of integrity.
Pluses
- Degree in materials science, engineering, chemistry, or a related field or computer science or a related fee.
- Work experience at a relevant AI company.
- Active participation in the AI and scientific community, including conference presentations, workshops, and collaborations.

$150,000 - $220,000 a year
+ Equity + Benefits; base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
