About the Role The Chief of Staff for Global Support Services at The Company is a key leadership role focused on driving improvement within the global support organization. The successful candidate will work closely with the VP Global Support to identify and deliver strategic initiatives, shape long-term department strategies, manage KPIs, prioritize growth initiatives, and ensure the team maintains a strong focus on customer satisfaction. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering, operations, and management, as well as the ability to optimize processes, manage the strategic agenda, and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth. The Chief of Staff will also act as a strategic adviser and proxy for the VP, overseeing connection points and initiatives across departments, and maintaining a candid team dynamic with productive, professional dialogue.The ideal candidate for this role is an articulate communicator, master organizer, and proven generalist who is passionate about open source software and working with brilliant people. They should be detail-oriented, value getting things done the right way, and possess strong soft skills such as passion, enterprise, thoughtfulness, and self-motivation. Experience with Linux, particularly Ubuntu, and familiarity with public and private cloud platforms are essential. The role requires the ability to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks for company events. The Chief of Staff will be part of a distributed work environment with a focus on personal learning and development, and will be expected to maintain a high standard of excellence in their work.
