About the Role
The Chief of Staff for Marketing at the company is a pivotal role that demands a seasoned leader with a strong background in strategic planning, executive-level advising, and interdepartmental collaboration. The successful candidate will be a master of cross-functional leadership, a practiced decision-maker, and a determined problem solver. This individual will be responsible for driving alignment in setting and executing marketing strategy, streamlining strategic initiatives, and overseeing executive program management. The role requires a high level of agility to manage projects that may not neatly fit within the organizational chart and to operate at tactical, strategic, and operational levels. The Chief of Staff will also be deeply involved in managing annual planning, organizational performance metrics, executive reporting, and internal communications, and will have oversight of the marketing budget and headcount.Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 10 years of experience, with an M.B.A. or related advanced degree being a plus. Experience or fluency in the Marketing function at a high-growth technology company is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning at a hyper-growth company, be an excellent communicator, and possess the ability to work effectively with executives across multiple functions. The role requires an entrepreneurial spirit, a high tolerance for ambiguity, and the ability to prioritize and drive multiple projects to success. The Chief of Staff must also be a trusted advisor, with the highest level of integrity and the ability to anticipate the needs of a busy executive and their direct staff.
