About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its senior leadership team. The COO will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and financial performance through a commitment to operational efficiency across the entire patient care platform. This executive will oversee all main campus operations, including inpatient, outpatient, and surgical environments, and will work in partnership with the Chief Nursing Executive and Chief Medical Officer to lead the clinical platform in operational efficiency and employee engagement. The role also involves managing capital management and ensuring optimal resource utilization across the clinical platform.Candidates for the COO position at The Company should have a graduate degree or equivalent in healthcare administration, business, or a related discipline, and a minimum of ten years of progressive management experience in healthcare operations. A proven track record in business, financial, and planning skills, as well as at least five years of experience in successful healthcare business/program development, are required. The ideal candidate will have experience in an academic medical center or complex teaching hospital, be an effective collaborator, and have a demonstrated commitment to high-quality patient care. Experience with benchmarking, data-driven decision-making, and in a unionized environment is also desired.
