About the Role
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at The Company will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for the financial and operational health of the organization. This role involves preparing and managing annual and period budgets, including P&L and cash flow projections, as well as evaluating the financial impact of capital investments. The COO will also oversee all aspects of insurance, including Property, Liability, and Workers Comp Insurance, and will be involved in human resources, including the design of employee benefits plans and administration. Additionally, the COO will serve as the primary staff contact for the Finance and Audit Committees, supervise the Finance Director and Director of Facilities, and ensure smooth internal operations.Applicants for the COO position must have a minimum of 7 years of senior-level financial and/or operational oversight and planning with supervisory responsibilities, as well as experience in building, construction, or property management. A background in a nonprofit and/or educational institution is required, along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in computer applications, and a Bachelor's Degree. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to motivate teams, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a proven track record in customer service and community relations. The ability to lift up to 40 lbs and be available for evening and weekend programs and meetings is also necessary.
