POSITION SUMMARY:
The COO will oversee all daily operations of the plant from manufacturing to shipping while
ensuring policies and procedures are followed. This person will develop processes that will
continuously afford a safe working environment, positive workplace culture, the highest quality
of product, efficient productivity and profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following below and other duties
that may be assigned from time to time.
• Works closely with CEO and other management members to plan, organize direct and run
optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers expectations.
• Increase production capacity of assets and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and
maintaining/increasing current quality standards.
• Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives to provide a clear sense of direction,
goals and focus on execution.
• Influence and manage personnel by mentoring and discipline with corrective actions, address
grievances, create a trusting relationship with employees to help develop plant staff and recruit new
employees.
• Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime.
• Commit to maintaining and constantly improving safe working environment.
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and
performance targets to ensure effective return on assets utilizing the latest production management
best practices and concepts.
• Ensures that all sales contracts are being made competitively, but profitably. Ensures all
contracts detail; coordinate with operations staff to successfully fill scope of contract requirements.
• Sets and carries out a strategy to ensure that the needs of current customers are being
addressed while identifying additional sales & services that can be provided.
• Stays current on all product and service information available to enable them to be the subject
matter expert for our customers and prospects.
• Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or
lateness.
• Demonstrate ability to be self driven, self starter, and work independently with little direct
oversight.
• Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
1. Proven work experience as a Plant Manager / COO preferably 5+ years
2. Proven managerial experience with knowledge of manufacturing and
management principles with the ability to lead by example, foster accountability,
build a strong culture and encourage decision making of supporting management.
3. Familiarity with industry standards equipment and technical expertise.
4. Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and
stewardship processes.
COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Must possess moderate level skills in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite
software, including Excel, Word and email, etc.
EQUIPMENT USAGE:
Preference for working knowledge and experience necessary to oversee the operation of plant
assets.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must have ability to read and comprehend a basic level of instructions, create correspondence

and emails to both internal and external relations. Must possess ability to present information one-
on-one to customers, management and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, percentages and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must have ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations
where only limited standardization exists. Must have ability to interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work environment is consistent with both an office, and manufacturing plant, where temperature
levels are variable, noise/dust levels can be high and the individual may be required to operate various
types of equipment, including driving to customer locations.
