Job Description - Chief Outpatient Services Officer

Citizens Health is recruiting a Chief Outpatient Services Officer.

Citizens Medical Center - a 25 bed critical access hospital


Family Center for Health Care - an outpatient rural health clinic


Prairie Senior - a skilled nursing facility


Citizens Clubhouse - an onsite childcare center that cares for children 6 weeks to school age for our workforce


Citizens Medical Equipment - our durable medical equipment business


Palace Drug Store - our outpatient pharmacy

Location: 100 E College Ave, Colby, Kansas

Position Information:  The Chief of Outpatient Services is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational management for the specialty clinic, surgery clinic, special nursing services/Infusion, oncology clinic, and orthopedics clinic.


Salary:  Competitive and commensurate with experience, plus benefits.


 


What you’ll do:



  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the assigned clinics.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to align with organizational goals and industry best practices.

  • Monitor patient flow, staff performance and clinic resources to maintain optimal operating efficiency.

  • Ensure high standards of clinical care through adherence to evidence-based practices.

  • Address clinical concerns or operational challenges promptly and effectively..

  • Maintain oversight of medical equipment and supply inventory for all clinics.

  • Recruit, mentor and evaluate nursing staff.

  • Assist in budget planning and resource allocation for assigned departments.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including standards set by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation (CoPs).

  • Prepare for and participate in inspections, audits, and accreditation processes.


What you bring to the table:


Education: Bachelor degree in related field preferred, Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field, preferred.
Licensure: Current Kansas licensure in appropriate field.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.  At least 3 years in a leadership or management role.  Experience in hospital outpatient department, primary care or oncology nursing is highly preferred.
Certifications:  BLS and ACLS certifications required.
