Job Description - Chief Procurement Officer

Chief Procurement Officer

Overview: With an annual appropriated budget exceeding $300 million, the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) Finance division administers the agency’s budgeting, procurement, reimbursement and billing services for Central Administration, state-operated facilities and other community partners.

Salary: $111,349.00 per year ($53.53 per hour) not including generous benefits allowance!
Primary Working Hours are M-F; 8-5
FLSA Status: Exempt

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, or closely related field.
Five years of administrative experience within state government;
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of technical procurement or purchasing experience for each year of the required experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
Six years of professional business or public administration experience, including three years in a supervisory or administrative capacity;
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional or technical administrative experience in business or public administration for each year of the required education.
No substitution will be allowed for the required professional experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity.

NOTE: Must hold and remain current with Certified Procurement Officer certification. Preference may be given to candidates who are currently state CPO’s.
