About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Product Officer with a strong background in technical innovation within the food and beverage industry to lead Retail & Foodservice projects from concept to commercialization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership to the product team, overseeing the end-to-end product development process, and managing the company's product portfolio. This role requires a leader who can inspire excellence and innovation, balance short-term revenue goals with long-term strategic objectives, and make data-driven decisions to optimize the product line.Applicants must have at least 10 years of progressive technical innovation experience, with a focus on product and packaging R&D, quality, and culinary sciences. A proven track record of leading product teams in both large CPG and startup environments is essential, with specific experience in cultured products, plant-based foods, and beverages, meals and enhancers, and frozen foods being preferred. The Chief Product Officer will be a change agent, a strategic thinker, and a clear communicator, capable of aligning business strategy with technical delivery and leading teams across various functional roles. An M.S. or Ph.D. in food science, food engineering, or a related field is a significant advantage. The role is pivotal in translating functional ingredient and sensory sciences into consumer-centric products that leverage the company's nutritional fungi protein technology.
