This Division supports Roswell operations with a visible, professional, and reassuring presence. The successful candidate navigates and models staff development, customer service, administrative, and law enforcement roles with ease and is eager to share their skills within the Division to promote the Division as an enduring and integral weave of the fabric of Roswell. The Chief envisions, embodies, and reinforces the tenor of the Division creating a positive culture allowing the staff to reach its full potential, and making this Division a fulfilling place to begin or continue a meaningful career. Never satisfied with the status quo, the Chief seeks opportunities to steward people and financial resources to achieve the greatest benefits of safety, compliance, and security.The salary range for this positon is $97,908- $123,761 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. **Qualifications:** Required Education and ExperienceLicense and Certification Requirements

Valid New York State Driver License or the ability to obtain one within thirty (30) days of appointment; and
Certification or the ability to obtain certification as a New York State Peace Officer within one (1) year of appointment; and
Current Pistol Permit or the ability to submit an application for a New York State Pistol Permit within sixty (60) days of appointment.
Education and Experience

Master's Degree in Criminal Justice, Police Science or a related field and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience in a law enforcement or security organization, exposed to functions similar to those at Roswell Park, including five (5) years of experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity in a related field; or
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Police Science or a related field and the equivalent of eight (8) years of full-time experience in a law enforcement or security organization, exposed to functions similar to those at Roswell Park, including five (5) years of experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity in a related field; or
Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, Police Science or a related field and the equivalent of ten (10) years of full-time experience in a law enforcement or security organization, exposed to functions similar to those at Roswell Park, including five (5) years of experience in a supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity in a related field.
Additional Candidate Requirements Prior to Appointment in Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center's Public Safety Department

Absence of a felony criminal record; and
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age; and
Must be a United States citizen; and
Must pass drug test(s); and
Must pass a psychological evaluation.
Notes

Incumbents must maintain their New York State Driver License as a condition of continued employment; and
Incumbents must maintain certification as a New York State Peace Officer as a condition of continued employment; and
Incumbents must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary firearms permit(s) in accordance with organization policies and legal statutes as a condition of continued employment.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
