Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)

Job Description - Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)

Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)

Pragma Edge Inc.

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Location: [Jacksonville FL / United States] · Travel: [~25–35%] Team: Global Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success

About the Role

Pragma Edge is an enterprise integration and workflow automation company. We help organizations Connect People, Process, Technology and Partners.

We are hiring a Chief Revenue Officer to own revenue across all four of our business lines: software products, professional services, managed services, and SaaS. Reporting to the CEO, you will carry full accountability for the number and for the commercial organization that delivers it.

This is an operator's role as much as a seller's role. Today, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success run as separate functions with separate priorities. Your first job is to make them one system, with shared definitions, clean handoffs, and forecasting the CEO and board can rely on. Your second is to make our integration technology legible to enterprise buyers as a business outcome rather than a feature set.

What You'll Own

Go-to-Market Across Four Revenue Streams

  • Build and iterate GTM motions for each business line, recognizing that they have genuinely different buyers, cycle lengths, and economics, transactional software and SaaS on one side, consultative services and multi-year managed contracts on the other.
  • Standardize the handoffs between demand generation, pre-sales engineering, and delivery so clients experience one continuous relationship from first contact through expansion.
  • Sharpen our positioning in the verticals where integration and automation are mission-critical: healthcare, supply chain, logistics, financial services, and retail.

Revenue Operations and Forecasting

  • Own and modernize the revenue tech stack ,CRM, marketing automation, analytics — with data integrity and pipeline visibility as the standard, not the aspiration.
  • Deliver forecasts to the CEO and board that hold up: granular by stream, honest about risk, and specific about where churn and expansion are likely.
  • Manage the metrics that matter for a hybrid software-and-services model: ARR, NRR, LTV, CAC and CAC payback, services margin, and utilization-linked pipeline.

Building the Commercial Organization

  • Recruit, develop, and retain a commercial team across regions. Set one sales methodology, clear quotas, and transparent performance expectations.
  • Stay in the field on strategic pursuits. You will personally help navigate enterprise procurement and executive relationships on our largest deals.
  • Develop technology alliances, channel partners, and marketplace listings into a meaningful, measurable second source of pipeline.

What Success Looks Like

First 90 days — You know the business: every revenue stream, its margin profile, and its real win rate. Pipeline data is trustworthy or you have a dated plan to make it so. You have assessed the existing team and named the gaps.

First 6 months — One forecasting cadence and one set of definitions across Sales, Marketing, and CS. Handoffs documented and working. A GTM plan per stream, with the investment case behind each.

First 12 months — Forecast accuracy within an agreed tolerance. Measurable movement in NRR and CAC efficiency. Key hires in place. A partner channel contributing real pipeline.

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • 10+ years in senior commercial leadership (CRO, CCO, or VP/SVP Sales) in enterprise B2B technology, including time carrying a company-level number.
  • A track record of scaling a technology or IT services business through a rapid-growth phase, with clear ownership of the revenue trajectory.
  • Demonstrated ability to run high-velocity product and SaaS sales alongside long-cycle consulting and managed services — most leaders are strong in one and weak in the other, and we need both.

Domain

  • Working knowledge of enterprise integration (B2Bi, EDI, MFT), business process and robotic automation, hybrid cloud, and digital workflow modernization, GenAI, Agentic AI. You don't need to be an architect, but you do need to hold a credible technical conversation with a CIO.

How You Work

  • You can translate integration and automation into financial and operational terms for a Fortune 1000 C-suite — cost avoided, risk reduced, cycle time cut.
  • You build teams rather than inherit them, and you mentor deliberately. We are looking for someone who raises the ceiling for the people around them and strengthens the culture while growing the number, not at its expense.
  • You are direct with the board about bad news early.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, management information systems, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience. MBA or executive education is a plus, not a requirement.
