Highspring is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the company's enterprise technology strategy and operations and position technology as a driver of growth, efficiency, and enterprise value. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CTO will serve as the senior-most technology executive and a key member of the Executive Leadership Team.
The CTO will lead all IT and technology functions, including enterprise applications, Salesforce, cybersecurity oversight, infrastructure, data and analytics, AI strategy, digital transformation, product innovation, and emerging technologies.
The ideal candidate is an executive leader with strong business judgment, exceptional executive presence, deep hands-on Salesforce expertise, and a proven track record of driving innovation and enterprise value through technology.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Technology Leadership
- Develop and execute Highspring's enterprise technology strategy.
- Serve as the primary technology advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
- Align technology investments with company growth objectives.
- Build technology capabilities that create competitive advantage.
- Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.
Salesforce Strategy & Leadership
- Own the Salesforce platform strategy, roadmap, governance, and optimization.
- Lead ongoing enhancement of Highspring's Front Office Transformation ecosystem.
- Drive adoption, business process standardization, reporting, analytics, and platform effectiveness.
- Serve as executive sponsor for all Salesforce initiatives.
- Act as a hands-on Salesforce leader capable of engaging in architecture, workflow, integration, and business process discussions.
- Position Salesforce as the commercial system of record for pipeline, forecasting, and lead-to-cash across the enterprise.
- Partner with Marketing and business leaders to ensure technology and data environments support reliable pipeline visibility and revenue attribution.
Artificial Intelligence & Innovation
- Develop and execute Highspring's enterprise AI strategy.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI across sales, delivery, recruiting, operations, marketing, finance, human resources, and consulting.
- Establish AI governance, security, compliance, and responsible-use standards.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and innovation investments.
- Establish qualification gates and success criteria for AI solutions to prevent duplicate or ungoverned development efforts.
Business Enablement
- Drive process optimization and automation initiatives to improve productivity and scalability.
- Partner with functional leaders to identify operational challenges and implement enabling technology solutions.
- Ensure business systems support growth, reporting, analytics, and decision-making capabilities.
- Lead change management efforts related to technology and process transformation.
IT Operations & Infrastructure
- Oversee all enterprise technology operations and support functions.
- Ensure stability, scalability, security, and reliability of technology platforms.
- Lead infrastructure, cloud operations, service delivery, networking, and end-user technology.
- Establish technology performance metrics and service standards.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Maintain executive oversight of enterprise cybersecurity strategy in partnership with the Chief Information Security Officer.
- Ensure appropriate risk management, compliance, privacy, and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Partner with security leadership to strengthen the organization's security posture.
- Communicate technology and cybersecurity risks effectively to executive leadership and the Board as needed.
Data & Analytics
- Lead enterprise data strategy and governance in partnership with the Chief Financial Officer.
- Enhance reporting, business intelligence, and analytics capabilities.
- Establish data standards that support AI and advanced decision-making.
- Foster a culture of data-informed leadership.
- Establish a unified go-to-market data layer spanning marketing, sales, and delivery to enable revenue attribution and signal-driven prioritization.
Go-to-Market Technology
- Partner with marketing and revenue leaders to build an integrated go-to-market technology ecosystem.
- Establish the data architecture, integrations, governance, and platform reliability required to create a unified view of the customer, pipeline, and revenue.
Budgeting & Financial Stewardship
- Own the enterprise technology budget and investment portfolio.
- Develop multi-year technology roadmaps and capital plans.
- Evaluate technology ROI and business value realization.
- Manage strategic vendor relationships and technology contracts.
- Ensure disciplined technology investment aligned with company priorities.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Build and lead a high-performing technology organization.
- Attract, develop, and retain top technology talent.
- Create a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop succession planning and leadership depth throughout the technology function.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
- Experience serving as a CTO, CIO, Chief Digital Officer, or similar executive technology leader.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise technology and transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing technology budgets and investment portfolios, making disciplined, high-impact use of limited resources.
- Proven track record building and leading high-performing technology organizations.
- Experience within professional services organizations preferred.
Salesforce Expertise
- Deep hands-on Salesforce experience.
- Experience leading enterprise Salesforce implementations and transformations.
- Strong understanding of CRM architecture, integrations, workflow automation, reporting, and user adoption.
AI & Innovation
- Proven experience implementing AI solutions in business environments.
- Strong understanding of AI governance, automation, machine learning applications, and emerging technologies.
