Child Outreach Screener, Bilingual (English/Spanish)

LOCATION: Various Cities/Towns in Rhode Island

SALARY: $20/hr, Part-time; no benefits

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Applicants will conduct a developmental screening of children ages 3-5, prior to kindergarten entry. The intent of screening is to identify children who may have a disability or developmental delay and who therefore require further evaluation to determine eligibility for special education.
• Screeners should have experience and enjoy working with young children.
• Successful applicants will receive training in the specific screening tests to be administered.
• Child Outreach screeners will be assigned to various school districts and will be supervised by school district personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be fluent in Spanish and English.
• Screeners typically screen 3 hours per day, and the number of days will vary based on school district requests.
• All screeners must pass a R.I. Background Check as a condition of employment.
