Job Description - Child/Adolescent Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)

Peak Behavioral Health is looking for highly qualified candidates for a child and adolescent therapist position. This position is based in our Norman, Oklahoma office  and provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and their families in a private practice setting. Peak is a an interdisciplinary team of Psychologists, counselors, BCBA's, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists. Experience with TF-CBT and PCIT preferred but not required. 




Essential Functions: 



  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic interviews during intake

  • Develop Treatment Plans for each individual as required by insurance payors

  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling as needed using evidence-based practices

  • Work in an outpatient, private-practice setting providing office-based and tele-therapy sessions, as needed

  • Provide crisis management, which may include face-to-face or telephone interviewing of the client as needed to assess:

    • client’s lethality to self or others

    • client’s available support systems

    • facilitate referrals as needed



  • Attend company staff meetings and event

  • Serve as a team member for multidisciplinary evaluations

  • Maintain timely and accurate client records

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA and State and Federal Regulations

  • Maintain professional competency in your discipline throughout appropriate continuing education


Required Education and Experience



  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Human Relations, or related field

  • Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), LCSW, or LMFT in the State of Oklahoma (and must maintain licensure at all times while working at Peak Behavioral Health)

  • Experience with pediatric populations is preferred

  • Excellent communication skills with other providers and families

  • Must have great problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in using technology

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Office, Google Drive and EMR systems required

  • Passionate about helping children and their families


Reporting


The LPC reports to the Director of Behavioral Health and/or the CEO/Owner.

Classification and Compensation


The therapist is a commission-based, exempt position. Payroll is processed bi-weekly, constituting 26 annual pay periods. The salary will increase as outlined below:

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position with the expectation that the LPC works 40 hours weekly. Work is primarily expected to occur during typical weekdays (Monday-Friday); but work and/or training may be requested on weeknights or weekends to ensure the expectations and requirements are being met.
