Childbirth Educator

This position functions to meet the educational needs of expectant and new families and their support networks.  In meeting these needs, this position assists families in the process of transitioning from the role of expectant parents to the role of parents responsible for care of their newborns.  This position provides education by utilizing a process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree - In related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in childbirth education

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Coursework/Training - Successful completion of formal childbirth education training program
• Certification by a nationally recognized childbirth education upon hire
• 6 months - Teaching experience
