Summary of Position

The Childcare Lead position serves as the “number two” person to the MISSION Childcare manager. The childcare lead is available if the manager ever has to step out, take a day off, or needs help in an environment. The childcare lead serves to provide support to the Childcare ministry and Childcare manager with overseeing environments, ratios, and ensuring things run smoothly. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Be onsite during childcare events to oversee classrooms and childcare staff


• Help set up childcare environments with supplies, carts, snacks, etc. 


• Help ensure childcare carts and supply cabinets are backstocked with needed supplies for weekday childcare


• Develop age-appropriate activities using approved curriculum, and resources as applicable. Work with the manager on this. 


• Other tasks as assigned by Manager

Primary Work Schedule:

• Part-Time Position (approximately 10-15 hours) - variable schedule.


• Primarily Monday-Wednesday in the evening, Thursday in the morning; may require weekends/other non-standard work hours as needed.
