Main Function

The Childcare Lead at RPC is a member of the childcare staff.  This person is responsible for supervising childcare programming as well as overseeing the implementation of the vision through training, equipping and discipling volunteers, paid childcare staff, parents and children in our care.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• On campus for Childcare events as scheduled


• Supervises teachers assigned to an event


• Monitors childcare classrooms during events


• Communicates with parents as needed while their children are in our care


• Leads large group during Bible studies as needed


• Assists in planning and preparing curriculum and activities for childcare events


• Ensures that rooms are prepared for childcare events and that they are cleaned and ready after the childcare program


• Provides encouragement to childcare staff as needed or requested by way of prayer, birthday cards, thank you notes, emails, or phone calls


• Commitment to pray specifically for workers and volunteers serving in childcare


• Notifies Childcare Director of supply and maintenance needs


• Clear understanding of, and commitment to modeling our RPC Staff Values


• Handle and safeguard confidential church information


• Actively attend Sunday worship services


• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Skills & Attributes

• Has a heart for empowering parents to be the primary influence in a child’s spiritual life


• Has successfully completed background check and child safety training


• Basic knowledge of, or ability to learn platforms/media used by RockPointe Church: Bamboo, TouchPoint, eSpace, Nexonia, Asana, Canva, etc. 


• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)


• Maintains a balance between doing ministry and being ministered to


• Ability to interact with a wide range of people compassionately and patiently


• Ability to self-start and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment


• Excellent interpersonal communication, and organizational skills


• Responsiveness and flexibility regarding time-sensitive changes and/or requests
