Role Overview:
We are searching for a Childcare Support Specialist to play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming space for children while actively supporting their daily activities. If you take pride in creating a well-organized environment and love engaging with children in a warm, supportive setting, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in childcare, cleaning, or a similar field is a plus.
Certifications:
CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain).
TB test and physical required (preferably completed before starting).
- Background check mandatory.
Skills & Traits:
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of organization and cleanliness.
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Physically active—able to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the day.
- Passionate about providing a safe, happy environment for children.
Your Responsibilities:
Keep the Environment Sparkling & Safe
- Follow a structured cleaning and sanitization schedule to ensure all rooms, surfaces, and common areas meet the highest safety standards.
- Keep play areas, nap spaces, and classrooms tidy, organized, and clutter-free.
- Replenish cleaning and childcare supplies as needed, notifying management of any maintenance needs.
Be a Helping Hand in the Classroom
- Supervise children during play, meals, and learning activities to ensure their safety.
- Assist with fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and creativity.
- Help with daily routines like meals, naptime, and bathroom breaks, ensuring each child feels comfortable and cared for.
- Foster positive behavior and social development through patience, guidance, and encouragement.
Stay Sharp & Keep Growing
- Complete ongoing training through MIRegistry (two training modules per week) to stay up-to-date on best practices in childcare.
- Follow all safety regulations and daycare policies to maintain a secure environment.
- Be prepared to respond to emergencies and provide basic first aid if necessary.
- Work alongside a supportive team to create a fun, enriching experience for children.
