Angie’s Angels Child Development is seeking a full-time Children’s Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children in our early childhood center. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, working in a structured kitchen environment, and contributing to the health and well-being of young children.
Our cook plays an important role in our program by ensuring children receive balanced, high-quality meals that meet CACFP standards in a safe and organized kitchen environment.
Most positions follow a daytime schedule (ex: 7:00am–1:30pm or similar) within our center hours of 5:30am–5:30pm.

Angie’s Angels Child Development Center serves children from infancy through preschool.
We believe healthy meals help support children’s growth, learning, and energy throughout the day.

Nutritious meals and snacks following CACFP guidelines
High standards for food safety and sanitation
A supportive team environment where kitchen staff work closely with leadership
Key Responsibilities
As the Children’s Cook, you will:
Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children following CACFP standards
Prepare and cook food in large quantities for multiple classrooms
Ensure proper portion sizes for children according to program guidelines
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
Label, date, and store food and supplies properly
Assist with food ordering and inventory management
Ensure quality and consistency in daily meal preparation
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and licensing regulations
Work with leadership to support menu preparation and nutritional standards
Maintain kitchen records required for food service programs
Qualifications
Required:
At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow food safety procedures and CACFP guidelines
Ability to work independently and stay organized in a kitchen environment
Preferred (not required):
Previous experience in food service, school kitchens, childcare centers, or restaurants
Experience preparing food in large quantities
Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
We value experience, but we are also open to training a dependable candidate who enjoys cooking and wants a stable daytime schedule.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to work safely in a kitchen environment with hot equipment
