Childrens Minister

The children’s minister is responsible for carrying out the mission of Eagle Mountain International Church according to the vision of the Senior Pastors for Superkid Academy. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to disciple and meet the needs of children from birth through fifth grade, teach and preach while demonstrating a passion for children’s ministry, and the ability to build programming that will disciple children in the spirit of faith. The children’s minister will serve as a vital part of the student ministries team, developing strategic methods to maintain current ministry initiatives and create new ministry programs geared toward the student population of EMIC.   

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Display a deep care for their assigned demographic with hands-on discipleship, engagement interests and prayer.
• Maintain current and develop new ministry initiatives to serve the Eagle Mountain International Church congregation as it specifically applies to Superkid Academy (Birth through 5th Grade).
• Establish and cultivating ministerial relationships with children and their families.  
• Disciple children and their families using foundational Word of Faith teaching found in the faith libraries of KCM and EMIC.
• Collaborate with the Children's Pastor to create the Superkid Academy yearly curriculum and calendar. 
• Prepares teaching outlines and messages for children’s services, special events, bible studies, etc.
• Establish programs to facilitate promotion from Superkid Academy to 14forty Middle School.
• Monitor and communicate the overall budget in collaboration with the Children's Pastor.
• Develop and lead outreach strategies to local elementary schools and the community, acting as an ambassador for children’s programing here on campus and on location within the community. 
• Recruit, train and supervise a team of volunteers to perform essential functions which contribute to the overall advancement of ministry programs within Superkid Academy.
• Maintain availability for platform ministry and duties as assigned by leadership.
• Grasp and implement the vision of Eagle Mountain International Church as provided by Senior Pastors and leadership in all areas of responsibility. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

? Assemble, develop, and lead volunteer teams.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Children’s Ministry or Childcare Experience 
• Preferred Bible School or College  
• Three years’ ministerial experience 
• Ordained and licensed minister 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrate ability to counsel and encourage based on the word of God
• Demonstrate ability to communicate professionally, verbal and written communication 
• Demonstrate ability to preach and teach from the platform 

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

• Standard office equipment 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines.
• Must be able to sit at a computer for 7 hours a day.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:

• High level of mental/emotional effort required giving continuous attention to resolving potential and real conflicts

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Works in a normal office environment and frequently functions in ministry outreach and evangelistic events in various locals.

OTHER:

• Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and Pastors George and Terri Pearsons.
• Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension and division
• Must maintain a good attendance record
• Must be a member of EMIC, regularly attend church services, and support the leadership of EMIC.
• Must be a regular tither to EMIC.
• Must possess a servant’s heart and operate as Armor Bearer.
• Sensitive to needs of others, which includes a love and commitment to the members and congregation of EMIC and Kenneth Copeland Ministries staff.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with diverse groups of people, considerable skill and diplomacy in communication. Ability to build effective working relationships inside and outside departments or groups.
• Self-motivated and takes initiative. Ability to react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround.
• Operates with pre-emptive thinking and must be discerning and able to make good judgment calls with minimum supervision.
