Chorus/ Vocal Performance Teacher

Worshipers' House of Prayer Academy is seeking a talented and inspiring Chorus Teacher to develop students’ vocal abilities and cultivate a love of worship and performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about choral music, has strong instructional skills, and is eager to grow a vibrant school choir program.

  Teach vocal music classes and direct elementary, middle, and junior high school choirs.

  Instruct students in vocal technique, sight-singing, ear training, breathing, diction, music theory, and stage presence.

  Select and arrange age-appropriate repertoire aligned with Christian values and musical excellence.

  
  


• 
  

  Plan and produce performances for chapels, concerts, school programs, and community events.

  
  


• 
  

  Create engaging lessons that foster musical expression, teamwork, confidence, and spiritual growth.

  
  


• 
  

  Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying vocal backgrounds and abilities.

  
  


• 
  

  Assess student progress and provide ongoing feedback for improvement.

  
  


• 
  

  Partner with administration and the fine arts team to promote and expand the choral program.

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate consistently with families about student progress, expectations, and performance opportunities.

  
  


• 
  

  Model Christ-like character and integrate biblical truth through music and classroom culture.

  
  

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Vocal Performance, Choral Conducting, or related field.

  
  


• 
  

  Proven experience conducting choirs or teaching vocal music (school or church setting preferred).

  
  


• 
  

  Strong piano or accompaniment skills (able to lead rehearsals and prepare vocal parts).

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent classroom management and rehearsal leadership.
