Our Porter: 

• Routinely reviews/assesses all areas of the property including grounds and buildings, notifying management of any issues pertaining to structural safety or security, faulty parts, or excessive wear and tear.


• Performs general cleanup including trash pick-up throughout the community, ensuring trash receptacles are emptied and clean/sanitized, and central trash dumpsters and enclosures are maintained.


• Updates planters/plants seasonally as needed to keep Summerwood vibrant and fresh!


• Assists with maintaining swimming pool.


• Provides distribution of notices to residents.


• Assists the Maintenance team with work orders and unit turns, as needed.


• Communicates effectively with residents, supporting general needs.
  


• Promotes the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility, and demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and strategic goals.


• Performs other duties as assigned.
  

What you need to succeed:

• High School graduation or equivalent.


• Excellent customer service skills, including high resident and employee satisfaction.


• Flexibility with schedule, with the ability to be on-call for community emergencies.


• Familiarity and ability to comply with the Washington State Residential Landlord & Tenant Act and other State, City, County and Federal regulations as well as the Fair Housing Act.


• Must have valid driver license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements include: 

• Ability to work in different physical positions to complete tasks, while providing a variety of physically demanding maintenance-related tasks inside and outside the building


• Must have sufficient manual dexterity, and the ability to work with tools and equipment


• May need to occasionally lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
