Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Civil Construction Inspector 2, we'll count on you to:

Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations and pipelinesCollaborate with other field representatives or Project ManagersRead and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documentsConduct and document observations of construction as it progressesProvide guidance to less-experienced field staff as neededPerform other duties as neededQualifications

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent3 years experienceProficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)Proven problem-solving and documentation abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamThis position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testingAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustPreferred Qualifications

Technical school or Associate degreeTDOT experience preferred. The following TDOT, or equivalent, technician certifications are desired:

OSHA 10 Safety Training ConstructionAsphalt Roadway Paving InspectorAsphalt Plant TechnicianClass 1 Concrete TechnicianSoils and Aggregate TechnicianNuclear Gauge TrainingEPSC TDEC Level IGuardrail Installation Training
