What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):

• Lead civil engineering design for land development projects (K-12 schools, institutional, commercial, and private developments).
• Prepare site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater management plans.
• Create technical reports, engineering calculations, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, and internal team members.

• Oversee and support the permit application and approval process.

• Attend occasional site visits during construction for quality control and project updates.
• Mentor junior engineers and CAD designers on best practices and project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Required)

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering (Required)

• Minimum 3 years focused on land development design

• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (Office 365)

• Knowledge of Michigan zoning ordinances and site plan approvals

• K-12 school site experience is a plus (but not required)

• Strong communication and project coordination skills

• Must reside within 2 hours of Rochester Hills, MI

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

• Occasional travel to project sites or client meetings as needed
