Civil Engineering Designer / Senior CAD Technician - Land Development

We are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Designer/Senior CAD Technician for our office, located in Maitland, FL to assist with our continued project workload. This role provides an opportunity to work in a medium-sized office with ties to the resources and benefits of a much larger firm.

Responsibilities:

Duties include design and drafting for the preparation of site civil engineering drawings for subdivision, industrial, and commercial projects

Design and analyze engineering systems related to land development and utilities

Development and delivery of calculations for site grading, stormwater management system design, establishment of water and wastewater utilities and roadway requirements for translation into construction drawing plans

Maintain client communications and build client relations

Gain experience relevant to obtaining a Professional Engineer license (if applicable)

Qualifications

Understanding of land development planning is considered a requirement

Proficiency with AutoCAD for design purposes

Civil 3D experience is preferred Working knowledge of stormwater analysis and design is an asset

Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience working in a project engineering environment Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills

Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Adapt well to continual change in a dynamic environment

Task oriented with excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
