Join our welcoming legal team in Castle Rock, where you'll enjoy a collaborative, in-person environment and the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys. We are seeking candidates who currently live within commuting distance, preferably in Castle Rock, Douglas County, or the immediate surrounding areas. While a hybrid schedule may be considered in the future, this position is currently fully in-office.

Note

Candidates must have an active Colorado Bar license, 1+ years of civil litigation experience, and currently reside within commuting distance of Castle Rock, CO. Applicants must be comfortable working 100% on-site. We are not considering out-of-state candidates or relocation applicants.

Job Description

As a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney, you'll represent clients in a variety of civil disputes while developing your litigation skills and working alongside experienced attorneys. You'll have the opportunity to manage meaningful legal matters, advocate for clients, and contribute to a collaborative team committed to delivering exceptional results.

• Represent individuals, businesses, and organizations in civil litigation matters, including contractual and commercial disputes.
• Manage cases through discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies tailored to each client's needs.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, court hearings, and other legal proceedings.
• Analyze evidence, evaluate legal risks, and provide clear, practical legal advice to clients.
• Negotiate favorable resolutions while preparing cases for litigation when necessary.
• Build strong client relationships through responsive communication, professionalism, and effective advocacy.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm while independently managing case responsibilities and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Colorado Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with litigation pleadings, motions, discovery, and case preparation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and provide outstanding client service.
• A collaborative mindset, strong professional judgment, and attention to detail.
• Courtroom experience, deposition experience, and independent case management skills are preferred.

• Required Years as Associate: 2-5
• Salary Bands (Only if attorney role): 2 to 6 years: $135K to $145K; 
• 7 to 9 years: $145K to $150K; 
• 10+ years: $150K to $155K;
• $155K+ possible with a book of business.
