Job Description - CL Policy Specialist

Summary:
Review and direct incoming correspondence to ensure the efficient processing of Commercial Lines transactions for policyholders and/or agents; input new submissions and implement policy modifications in accordance with established criteria

What You’ll Do:



  • Embraces change, leads by example, maintains a positive work environment and ongoing learning culture.

  • Collaborates effectively with team members to ensure the implementation of streamlined processes, quality and timeliness standards that have been set by commercial lines management.

  • Reviews incoming applications to ensure accurate product placement.

  • Engages with external carrier partners.

  • Professionally communicate with the agents as necessary.

  • Accurately input new business into the system to ensure proper policy rating.

  • Modify policy information during the policy term based on requests from agents, insured parties, and underwriters, and accurately generate updated policy details and premiums as required.

  • Keep policy documents up-to date, well organized in document storage according to company standards.

  • Mitigates risk by conducting various research and lookups to support underwriters in their decision-making process.

  • Review renewal accounts to verify that the proper renewal process is accurately executed.

  • Distribute change-in-condition letters to identified high-risk accounts.

  • Work cross functionally within our Agency.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to detail required.

What You’ll Bring:


Minimum Qualifications


  • High School diploma or GED


Preferred Qualifications


  • Six months insurance related experience

  • Microsoft Office and data entry experience

  • Property/casualty insurance background and jewelry industry experience

Physical Requirements


  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls; and talk or hear.
