Job Description - Claims Adjuster Trainee

We are hiring for our next Adjuster Training Class NOW...


As part of your training, we will facilitate one course for you to obtain your adjuster license. You must successfully complete this within two weeks of employment, along with Slide's seven-week training program.


Schedule:


During onboarding (first seven weeks) Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.


What you will be doing:



  • Participate in structured training programs to learn the fundamentals of claims examination, including understanding policy terms, coverage analysis, and claims processing procedures.

  • Assist in the investigation of property insurance claims by gathering relevant information, including interviews with policyholders.

  • Evaluate damages and losses to determine coverage

  • Collaborate with other adjusters to analyze claim files and prepare detailed reports.

  • Communicate effectively with insureds, contractors, and other parties to provide updates and resolve any issues.

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all claim-related communication and documentation.

  • Learn and adhere to company policies, insurance laws, and regulatory requirements related to claims processing. Ensure all claims are handled in a compliant and ethical manner.

  • Ongoing participate in workshops to continue to develop knowledge of property claims and insurance policies.

  • Perform other duties, as assigned.


What you already have:


Education, Experience, and Licensing:



  • High School diploma required.

  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, sales, or automotive claims required.


Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:



  • Adaptable and flexible; able to adjust to new requirements or unforeseen issues.

  • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on outstanding customer service.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Desire to live Slide's Core Values.
