At Hausmann Group we deliver every day on the bold promises we make to our clients. As Claims Associate, you are the agency’s first point-of-contact when our clients are at their most vulnerable. 

• Claims Consulting: Executes claim-related tasks using established procedures and guidance. Relies on defined escalation paths and confirm next steps before acting. Focuses on accuracy, timeliness, and learning how claims move through carriers and internal systems.
• Technical Knowledge: Builds foundational knowledge of role expectations, tools, and standards. Applies rules as taught and seeks confirmation when uncertainty arises. Develop confidence through repetition and exposure.
• Client Experience: Establishes rapport through professional, responsive interactions. Focus on clarity, follow-through, and meeting stated expectations. Build trust through reliability and consistency.
• Communication: Communicates information clearly and accurately with guidance. Focuses on information transfer, documentation, and confirmation of understanding. Listens attentively and accurately reflect key concepts back to the speaker.

• You have experience working in a fast-paced office environment, preferably in the insurance (or related) industry.
• You are hyper organized and get a deep sense of satisfaction from structure and seeing tasks through to the very end.
• You know your way around a computer and won’t have any concerns navigating an array of carrier websites and generating reports and spreadsheets from those sources.
• You understand at a high level what the core commercial lines of insurance are, and, preferably, have a keen sense of when and where coverage challenges may arise. 
• You are a clear and effective writer and communicator.
• You excel under pressure and keep your cool even when others can’t.
• You’re great at prioritizing competing interests and know when to ask others for help.
• You have, or are willing to earn and maintain, a valid Property & Casualty insurance license within 3 months of hire.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to work in a stationary position 90% of the time. 
• Constantly able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery 90% of the time.
• Constantly able to observe details, including letters, numbers and colors, at close range.
• Able to move or transport objects weighing up to 10lbs. Frequency and duration will vary. 

Working Conditions:

• Position will be headquartered in the Madison, Wisconsin or Milwaukee, Wisconsin offices.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required. Occasional travel between offices.
