Claims Coordinator needed for a

contract opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Newark, CA!
Top Skills Should You Possess:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent Required
Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
Basic knowledge of and working experience with ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT and HCPC coding systems.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology, enrollment and membership activities and claim processing procedures/systems

What You’ll Be Doing:
Claims mail processing:
Responsible for complete adjudication of professional and institutional complex medical claims in accordance with departmental, health plan, and regulatory timelines and accuracy standards.
Assist with Health Plan audits.
Responsible for interpreting and understanding established University Healthcare Alliance claims polices & procedure and process documentation.
Meet established departmental quality, production, and turnaround time performance benchmarks.
Utilizes appropriate reference materials and policies to research information and process claims accurately.
Assist with training new and existing claim coordinators.
Responsible for sending out daily inventory updates.
Acknowledge and understand all information discussed at staff meetings and fully comprehend updates and in-service training.
Manage workflows/ assignments and perform duties with reasonable independence.
Make significant contributions to the work team and demonstrates full competence in own work area.
All other duties as assigned including department-specific functions and responsibilities:
Performs other duties as assigned and participates in organization projects as assigned.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent Required
Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
Basic knowledge of and working experience with ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT and HCPC coding systems.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology, enrollment and membership activities and claim processing procedures/systems
Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize work assignments.
Independent decision-making skills and demonstrate initiative to resolve issues.
Basic oral and written communication skills, great organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects.
Ability to exercise good judgment and handle a fast-paced environment.
Able to assess and coordinate departmental work flows effectively
