THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Claims Specialist position requires an experienced P&C claims professional who can advocate for clients, assist the insurance company in obtaining any necessary information from clients when needed and who acts as a liaison between clients and the insurance company claims department. The position will involve assisting clients with both Commercial Lines and Personal Lines claims.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Answer clients’ claims related questions;
Obtaining loss information from clients;
Reporting claims on behalf of clients;
Obtaining information & statuses from adjusters/carriers;
Obtaining statuses & following up with clients;
Assisting clients and their representatives in resolving any issues with adjusters & insurance companies;
Reviewing policies and coverage in general;
Advise clients of the claims process, policy issues/concerns and overall assisting them in achieving the best possible claims result available; and
Provide any other assistance as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
High School diploma or GED; 4 year college degree preferred;
5-10 years of insurance claims related experience, including litigated claims;
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
Proven critical thinking & problem solving skills;
Proven attention to detail; and
P&C license preferred, but not required
The position can be a hybrid role (a few days in the Encino office and a few days working from home)
The expected salary range for this position is $81,000 to $125,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
