Class 2 Fitter

Job Title: Class 2 Fitter
Location: Beaumont, TX
Pay: $24+/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift – 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM or 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
(Shifts may range from 10 to 12 hours depending on workload)

A well-established manufacturer of heat exchangers, pressure vessels, towers, and other heat transfer components is actively hiring experienced Class 2 Fitters for its Beaumont, TX location. The Class 2 Fitter will be responsible for precision layout, fitting, and tack welding of heavy industrial components in accordance with engineering drawings and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut, fit, and tack weldpressure vessels, heat exchangers, and towers

• Read and interpret blueprints and AutoCAD drawings

• Operate oxy/fuel cutting torches and Plas-Arc machines

• Perform thermal cutting and code-compliant tack welding

• Maintain a fit-up rejection rate under 5%

• Meet project deadlines while ensuring quality standards

• Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE

• Support the team and assist with additional tasks as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years of experience fitting pressure vessels and/or heat exchangers

• Proficient in thermal cutting and welding processes

• Strong skills in blueprint reading and layout work

• Ability to tack weld in compliance with code and welding procedures

• Solid foundation in math and geometry

• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work with moderate supervision

• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Willing to work extended hours or weekends as needed
