LEM Trucking is hiring for a Class A CDL Truck Driver position in Austin, Texas, offering a weekly operating schedule that gets drivers home every weekend. Average earnings range from $1,500 to $1,800 per week while running established dry van freight during the workweek.

This fleet combines regional and OTR lanes, providing drivers with productive mileage while avoiding the extended two to three week schedules common with many OTR positions.

Run During the Week and Reset at Home

Drivers operate throughout the week before returning home for an approximately 34 hour weekend reset. Dispatch plans freight around this regular operating cycle while working to minimize unnecessary delays between assignments.

A Class A CDL Truck Driver should be comfortable with a mixture of customer and delivery requirements. Some loads may require driver unloading depending on the location, while other assignments do not involve physical freight handling.

Newer Peterbilt Equipment

Each Class A CDL Truck Driver is assigned a newer Peterbilt 579 with an automatic transmission. Trucks include an APU, power inverter, and refrigerator to provide additional comfort throughout the workweek.

Equipment receives regular maintenance to support dependable operation and help reduce preventable downtime.

Paid orientation is provided for incoming drivers, and hotel accommodations are covered during the orientation process.

Class A CDL Truck Driver Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid Class A CDL and have at least three months of recent verifiable tractor trailer driving experience. Candidates must meet applicable DOT and company qualification standards. A safe driving history is preferred.
