Class B CDL Driver-No Weekends!!

Position Summary:

Vinyl by Designs is searching for a Class B CDL Driver to make daily local runs to independent contractors within the New Paris area. In addition, the driver will also assist as a shipping receiver as needed. 

Pay Range: $25-$27 an hour, depending on experience 

Schedule: M-F 7:00am to 3:00pm

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Travel to local areas, making deliveries to businesses and residences, applying knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic and inclement weather.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles and trailers to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order and maintain logs of vehicle services and repair status.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
• Responsible for the proper handling and accurate completion of all necessary paperwork related to the truck operation and freight movements.
• Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers/tablets, CB radios, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
• Responsible for performing proper load securement of cargo and maintaining safe load securement throughout trips.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
  

Requirements

• Three years of Class B CDL driving experience
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle
• knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
• Experience with strapping/securement
• Registered with FMCSA clearinghouse
• Flat Bed-experience required
• Knowledge of Electronic Logging requirements, GPS systems, and the ability to read maps
• Clean driving record and diligent attention to safety
