Position Overview
Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is looking for hardworking, safety-minded Vacuum Truck / Jet Truck Operators to join our growing environmental and industrial services team. This is a hands-on role that combines commercial driving with field operations to support industrial cleaning, environmental services, and emergency response projects.
While a Class B CDL is required, this position is approximately 20% driving and 80% field work, making it ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, operating specialized equipment, and being part of a team that tackles challenging industrial projects.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate vacuum trucks, jet trucks, and other specialized equipment.
- Transport equipment and materials between customer sites and company locations.
- Assist field crews with industrial cleaning, environmental services, and emergency response operations.
- Operate light and heavy equipment, including vacuum systems, hydroblasting equipment, hoses, pumps, and related tools.
- Load, unload, and off-load materials at treatment and disposal facilities.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Maintain professional interactions with customers while representing GEIR on job sites.

Physical & Work Environment
This position requires the ability to work in physically demanding environments and varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities include:
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
- Working outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and dusty conditions
- Working in confined spaces and at elevated heights
- Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when necessary (clean-shaven status may be required for proper respirator fit)
- Standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Tanker Endorsement
- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card)
- Registered with the DOT Clearinghouse
- Valid driver's license with a clean three-year motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to perform physically demanding outdoor work in a variety of environmental conditions
- Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and wear respiratory protection when required
- Flexibility to work overtime, extended shifts, weekends, and emergency callouts as business needs require
Preferred Qualifications
- HazMat Endorsement
- Two to four years of experience operating heavy equipment or using industrial tools
- Experience with vacuum trucks, hydroblasting, or industrial cleaning equipment
- Prior experience in environmental, industrial, construction, or related field services
- Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment
