Job Description - Class B Delivery Driver with Airbrakes and Hazmat Endorsement

Advanced Welding Supply Company is looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team! Unique opportunity to work for a highly rated and ever growing family owned & operated company. The available position will be to deliver products and cylinders. A clean driving record and valid Class “B” CDL with airbrakes and a hazmat endorsement is required within 30 days of hire. Applicant will need to be able to lift at least 60 lbs. Daily activities will include bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing heavier gas cylinders and other welding products. This is a great oppurtunity to learn a lot and grow with us! Every day will be new and exciting.

Responsibilities

1 Year of delivery driving experience required

Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and different routes

Follow route and schedule

Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle

Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks in a variety of weather and traffic conditions

Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100lbs.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles, i.e., box truck and pick up truck

Excellent organizational skills

Must be able to work independently

Must have excellent time management skills

Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective relationships with current customers and vendors

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
