Summary of Role:

Our Program is licensed by the State of Illinois, meeting and exceeding state standards for health, safety and staff training. We believe children learn best through meaningful interactions with the world around them and others. Our mission is to provide a secure place for children to interact with the world, incorporating hands-on and teacher-facilitated experiences that are meaningful to all stages of development.
Under the supervision of the Children's Circle Program Manager, the Children's Circle Classroom Coordinator is responsible for assisting in daily classroom operations, acting as a substitute, moving throughout Children's Circle to ensure proper breaks, managing the hiring accounts, and reporting any issues (personnel or otherwise) to the Children's Circle Program Manager.

Qualifications:
Required Knowledge:
Good understanding and working knowledge of DCFS rules and regulations. Working knowledge of early childhood education and play-based learning. Knowledge of Park District activities and operations. Ability to manage emergency situations, effectively assist staff, and exercise sound judgment in dealing with the general public.
Required Skills:
Should be able to consistently demonstrate behavioral flexibility, good public relations, and tact. Patience is also a character trait that must be shown continuously. An open communication style is necessary.

Pay Scale:
This is a Full-Time, exempt position. The intended starting pay for this position is $55,000, with a full pay scale ranging from $55,000 to $82,000 annually.
Final compensation will be determined in good faith based on an evaluation of the candidate's qualifications, experience, and the recommendation of the Early Childhood Director and/or the Executive Director.
