Cleaner

We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team for the summer months. This position plays a key role in ensuring our apartment units are clean, well-maintained, and ready for occupancy.

This position is responsible for cleaning apartment units in preparation for turnover, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of common areas throughout the property. A significant portion of the role involves detailed cleaning of units prior to new tenant move-ins, so a strong attention to detail is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the highest standards of honesty and integrity, possess excellent time management skills, and be capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs apartment turnover cleaning which may include cleaning appliances, fixtures, ceramic tile, carpets, and painting.
  


• General cleaning duties include vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping; painting; washing walls, windows and sills; dusting and polishing; cleaning upholstery; cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and trash rooms.


• Monitors and takes inventory of cleaning supplies.


• Assists with trash removal and maintaining property’s appearance.


• Assists maintenance staff as required and other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to thorough, high-quality work.


• Ability to interact with tenants and staff in a patient, professional, and cooperative manner.


• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to perform duties efficiently, effectively, and courteously.

Experience:

• Minimum of six months of professional cleaning experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods of time.


• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds occasionally.


• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and using standard cleaning equipment.


• Capable of performing repetitive tasks and handling moderate physical exertion throughout the workday.


• Ability to climb stairs and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments, including varying temperatures.
